I'm baaaacccckkkkk....except I really didn't go anywhere. Just happened to take an unexpected blog hiatus. Don't know why. So there. :)
I suppose the best way to start again would be with some bullet points.
  • I'm thinking about making a quilt for the baby. No, we don't know what the gender is yet, but I'm thinking about starting one that is gender neutral. On that front, what would be a good color scheme for a gender-neutral baby quilt? Do NOT say pink and blue. Gag. What about this and this fabric mixed with plain red, blue and yellow? I already have plenty of these two fabrics, so that's my motivation. Is the fact that they are "floral" okay for a boy baby? BE HONEST.
  • Have y'all been watching the Jon and Kate marathon this weekend? I have. A lot. I'm so anxious to see how tonight's premiere goes. I seriously pray and hope they are staying together. I don't know WHY I'm so emotionally invested in this family, but I am, and I think it is the devil coming between them. They are Christians and have got to maintain their focus.
  • That said, I also need to re-new my focus, which is part of why I have been non-blogging. I'm going through a lot in my head right now...and trying to figure out the best way to make some changes in my life. Sorry to be so vague.
  • Remember about four months ago when we brought home a boxer puppy from my father-in-law? Yeah...she's still a "puppy" but she is HUGE. Pictures to follow soon.
  • Again about TV, but have you seen the preview for "Cake Boss"? That guy is the Tony Soprano of cakes, and I'm looking forward to the premiere of that tonight as well.
  • I got a new job. Same company, new town, new job. More on that later as well. ;)
  • As a military wife, thank you for your support, and take the time to say a prayer today for all of the troops, both overseas and serving in-country. Let me speak for my husband and say, it is his pleasure to defend your freedom.
Happy Memorial Day, and God Bless!

Lady A

Do you ever hear a song that is just SO good you can't quit repeating it on your iPod? I mean, like every time I get in the car, I listen to this song over and over. MAYBE it's because if I turn it up loud enough I sound just like the lead singer? :) Please listen, and enjoy. The lyrics are beautiful, the voices and harmonies are perfect. Oh yeah, and I got to see these guys in concert Saturday night, they were still just as talented and perfect even live...one reason I LOVE country music.

Nope, never, not me!

Wow. I have not blogged in quite awhile, and boy do I have a lot to catch you folks up on. I decided to do it in Not Me Monday form.

 Here we go:

First of all, I certainly have not neglected my own blog because every time I log on, I am too consumed by how much more interesting other peoples' lives are to blog about my own. Not me.

Friday I did NOT take advantage of my health insurance and have some genetic testing done just because it meant I would get to have a sonogram. I am way too considerate for that.

Had I done that, I definitely wouldn't have shown the sonogram pictures to everyone I work with, even though I know they don't care. I also would NEVER take a picture of that sonogram picture to put on my blog, because our scanner is broken. Nope, not me.

I did not get home from work on Friday to see these cute little faces staring at me, take a picture, and then proceed to leave them tied up outside for a few hours of peace with my husband. Nope, never me.

I did not spend $120 to go see Kenny Chesney in concert on Saturday night, I am far too practical for something like that.

I did not advocate gun violence by loudly singing along to the lyrics of Miranda Lambert's song "Gunpowder and Lead".

I did NOT scream like the 16 year old girl trapped inside of me when Kenny started his set by rising from the floor REALLY REALLY close to my $120 seat singing "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy". I am WAY to classy for something like that!

I did not proceed to take about 35 pictures of Kenny singing that all turned out the same.

I also did NOT feel a weird sense of pride that I knew all the lyrics to every song he sang that night, and I definitely did not show my knowledge by belting them all out so loud that I was hoarse the next day.

The first time I wrote this, I definitely did not put the above sentence as "horse the next day".  I pride myself on my grammar skills, no way I made that mistake!

I did not get lost in the big city driving home from the same area of town that I have driven in hundreds of times.

I also didn't find my heart beating faster when I realized it was midnight and the area I was in is known for gang activity. I did NOT speed my car out of there as fast as I could.

I did not think that the cutest thing I have ever seen was my best friends' two kids sleeping on our couch when we got home from the concert a little after 1 AM.

I did not proceed to stay up until 2 AM because adrenaline was STILL pumping through my body.

I did NOT go watch Star Trek and have a Mother's Day lunch of a hot dog at the movie theatre because I cared more about seeing that dorky movie than eating at a decent restaurant.

I did NOT swoon for the new Captain Kirk, but seriously, he's so hot.

I did not go buy two new bras today and exclaim excitedly to the sales clerk that "This is the first time in my LIFE I have EVER bought a C cup!"

I did not let my smile grow even bigger when she said I could expect to balloon up at least two more sizes by the end of my pregnancy. NOT ME.

Last but not least, If I would have done these things, I definitely would not have been crazy enough to document it all with pictures!

Because I don't want to let my anger get the best of me, I will limit every sentence in the remainder of this post to two words.

Bad day.

Bad grade.

A D.

Worst ever.

Worthless teacher.

So mad.

Had tears.

Called Dean.

He understands.

E-mail teacher.

Teacher MEAN.

Grade appeal.

Say prayer.

Not caveman.

Just FYI.
