Kourtnie's Wedding Shower

The Saturday before Easter I hosted a wedding shower for my sister, Kourtnie, along with my Aunt Jenn. This picture is (left to right) Aunt Jenn, Kourtnie, Manning and Me. Manning was fussy for the whole shower, but he looked precious in his seersucker pants and polo shirt.
(This is possibly the most unflattering dress/picture of all time, I'm aware.)

We hosted the shower at the bank where my sister works. We served nuts, mints, cookies, miniature cupcakes, fruit and punch.
My mom and sister with the food...my mom would kill me for this picture, but she doesn't read my blog. I win.

My Aunt Jenn is FAMOUS (in our family at least) for her sugar cookies at every family get-together. She baked these cookies, but I decorated them! I was proud of myself. I see MANY flaws looking now, but they were still an accomplishment. My sister's wedding colors are blue and green which is why we used these colors. I LOVE the paisley tablecloth. Paisley is my FAVORITE.

Manning loves his Auntie. :)

Here's a better picture of Mom and Kourtnie. I don't think my mom purposely wore a green and blue paisley shirt, but with her, you never know. She is much more put-together than I am. :)
And, in normal shower fashion, I took approximately 57 pictures of Kourtnie opening her gifts. I will spare any poor souls that are reading this and only post one. I chose this one on purpose. The same Aunt Jenn who makes the awesome sugar cookies embroidered these hand towels. I love them SO much. My great-grandma had some just like them and I think that my Aunt is going to teach me embroidery when I see her again for the wedding.

5 Months old 4-15-2010

I keep forgetting to upload these pictures and I don't want to forget details, so I'm doing this without pics. I'll add the SUPER cute pics, someday.

Manning Parker is FIVE months old! This month has been the most fun so far. Manning is still regularly sleeping through the night and is so much fun when he is awake. He normally sleeps from about 8 PM to about 6:30 AM...give or take thirty minutes either way.

(You might notice that these pictures were taken in the living room instead of his bedroom like normal. His rocking chair may or may not have been piled with laundry...and it may or may not still be. He's also in a sleeper because it was almost bedtime and these were taken four days late. Grad school is killing me)

Manning is laughing and talking all of the time now. He is definitely loving his exersaucer and his Baby Einstein bouncer. I'm so glad we have both because about the time he tires of one we use the other. We love to hold and cuddle him all of the time, but we have other things to do that require two hands!

I have some really cute videos of Manning talking on my phone, and as soon as I figure out how I will put them on here.

Manning is still growing a lot. He actually went to the Dr. on his 5 month birthday and weighed 15 lb. 15 oz. so he is right at 16 pounds. He is wearing a size three diaper! Big boy! As far as clothes, he is really starting to be all over the board. Some brands he is in 6 months...some he is in 9 months and he even wears a few 12 month outfits. I think baby clothes sizes are so weird and confusing. For example a size 6-12 months from Baby Gap or Old Navy fits him really well right now, but a 6-12 month from Gymboree is still WAYYYYY too big. I think clothes sizes need to be re-vamped here in America... ANYWAY. He is getting so big and he is more fun EVERY DAY!

Manning attended a few major events- Aunt Kourtnie's wedding shower and Easter! I have pictures from both of these events that I hope to share soon.

We love Manning more than we ever thought possible. Nathan and I were talking about how we could possibly bring another baby into our family and have enough love to share between them. It just seems like our hearts are so full with Manning, but I know that someday when God is ready we will find a way to love our next child(ren) just as much! God is good for giving us Manning Parker and we are so thankful for his blessings!

No Wonder People Think Christians Are Crazy

No wonder people think Christians are crazy...a.k.a. The Greatest Interpretive Dance Ever

I am literally laughing out loud in the middle of Borders. This entire video is entertaining, but the fun REALLY kicks up at the 1:59 mark.

Pictures to the Extreme

I've been so extremely busy with the worst-semester-of-my-entire-life-ever-that's-making-me-wonder-if-I'll-ever-graduate...So, I've been lax on updating with pictures. As much as anyone who reads this likes to listen to me ramble, I'm just going to do pictures tonight. Unedited pictures because there just is not enough time in a day...

Professional Photos

Okay y'all. I have had zero time to blog because school is ruining my life but I need some input. Go to collagesDOTnet. Username is my first name K***. Password 16417. Comment on which picture you like the best. There may even be a prize involved. I'm having a terrible time deciding and I'm on a horribly limited budget so I need help.

***I didn't publish my entire name because I feel like evil hacker bad people might do something bad...?
